Yes, It is September 23-26, 2010, see the notes in destinations.

I've been very concerned.... There is a forest fire just a few miles from 'our' campground. However, I just got off the phone with George T right outside of Canon City. According to George, it did not get to the campground and is now contained! There has been some property lost, and those people will be in our prayers.

So we are still on track for "The Gasp". I hope you are making plans to 'come camp with me'!!!!

I just saw that on the news today; 700 acres burned and possibly caused by the railroad.

according to Rand McNally you go from Rifle thru Denver, to Colorado Springs to Canon City to Royal Gorge, 220 miles . But I haven't looked at the map to see if there is a better route. I will and then come back in a day or so with more info.... ok?

George said the fire was on the right side of the road we take in, after we turn off HWY 50. I heard that they think it was the train or 'human' caused.


Come on rain.... we need more moisture in Colorado!!!!

Hi Pam

will plan on being there again this year - however sans TD - had every intention of building but had other projects in the way - and then had my hip replaced the beginning of July -so will be there with a tent or a rented TTT- but as for now - will see you there!!!

Best laid plans of mice and men as they say -- Well had planned on being there at Last Gasp - but my Scout Troop has decided to do a road trip to Ft Laramie, WY the same weekend - and me being an Ass't Scoutmaster - I must go (and since I'm the Outdoor Coordinator) well will miss you all and hopefully next year - this time with TD
