Anyone got anything planned for next weekend? I've got the propane furnace plumbed and tested. :)

Well, you guys had a very full run at camping this fall. So rest up and get ready for future trips.

I went out last night and played with the furnace. I believe we are going to love it.

Still pondering on where to go camping this weekend....

Phil, this weekend doesn't sound too bad around these parts. We will see you in April.

Saturday: Mostly sunny, with a high near 60.
Saturday Night: Mostly cloudy, with a low around 50.
Sunday: Mostly sunny, with a high near 67.

Right now I'm leaning toward Thibaut Point on Truman Lake near Warsaw, MO for Saturday and Sunday. Just a one night trip. At this time of year this Corps of Engineers campground is first come first served walkups only - no reservations.

http://www.nwk.usace.army.mil/ht/Camp-ThibautPoint.cfm

Thibaut Point is located at the confluence of Little Tebo and Sterett Creeks, approximately 7 miles northwest of Warsaw, Missouri. The park contains three separate group camping areas, as well as 50 individual campsites, many with 30 amp electrical service, an on-site park attendant, a sand swimming beach, boat ramp, dump station, shower and laundry facilities, and two picnic shelters. The group camp areas are available by reservation only and the picnic shelters and individual campsites are available on a first come first serve basis if not reserved.

Four sites ( #10, #11, #12, and #28 ) have been designated for those with physical disabilities. These concrete sites are level and have accessible grills, picnic tables, and lantern holders. Sites #12 and #28 have 30-amp electrical service and #10 and #11 are non-electric sites. Once the campground is full these four sites will become available to all campers.

Directions: From Warsaw, 4.3 miles north on US 65, 2.8 miles west on State Rd. T, south 1 mile on county gravel road.

While there I hope to check out their electric group site:

Group Camp A: Facilities include 19 level, well-shaded campsites with electricity and a group shelter complete with lights, electrical receptacles, barbecue grill, and eight picnic tables. Available by reservation only.

Anyone want to join us?

Hey Jeanne,

When coming back home from Crawford in June I cut cross country and drove past Osage Bluffs COE. It isn't very far south of Warsaw, MO just off of highway 83. I was considering that for this weekend however I read that Thibaut Point has a group camping site. I want to scout that out for future gathering possibilities.

Of course Thibaut Point is also closer to Lincoln, MO. I mentioned some antique / flea markets that I had seen to the boss.

Wish you could join us,
Nathan
