:( Gosh, Jeanne, that is as far a drive for us as Beavers Bend. In time that is....Must be a lot of up and down.

Miriam it took us almost.6 hrs to BB. Hot sprinhs is only 3.Queenie

:thumbsup: I think it is the mountains. To get to BB I would go down 71 and over at Ft. Smith.

I used to consider us an hour to spfd but now is only 20 min or so...but we are still closer to Hot springs. Hot Springs usually has a 10 degree difference is temps also..plus I can say enough good about the Buckstaff Spa... :thumbsup: We go straight down 7 scenic and slow....3 hrs max unless we stop for pics....for take detours to see other possible camp sites. To get to BB I have to either go over or around Willamina or over through porum and down. The straight ways sometimes are the best time wise, but the view except for 570 in AR (I think that 570) that passes Devils Den, and Mountain burg, where you get off to go to the NEW and Enhance Lake Ft Smith, (never have be able to get into that park since they re-open due to AR ALL RESERVE Policy.....that is another story.
