Montana/Idaho gathering?

Postby Hndbskt » Sat Apr 21, 2012 9:52 pm

Are any Montana or Idaho gatherings planned in the future?

Hndbskt,
I'm from Montana and been hanging out here for awhile and I haven't heard of any gathering in this area. The closest ones I know of, is the Gorge gathering coming up I think in late May. The Walk the Wind is in Pinedale, WY in August.

Lolo Hot Springs is just a short distance west of us. They have a nice small campground that might accommodate a couple dozen teardrops (can't tell for sure from their website). The Lumberjack Saloon nearby also has some camping, again not sure how many spots.

Hndbskt,

The best way to attend one is to have it.... That's what I did... figured I knew how to have parties and loved to camp, asked people to join me and they did.... wish I was closer... Was there in 2007 and loved it! Good luck!

I've only been to Ronan. The ex's family lived there.

I passed through that area a couple of years ago. The finest spot to camp on the entire trip was just outside of Kalispell, MT. I think the name was Spruce Lake Campground. It had several sites on the Flathead River. Just beautiful.

Hmm,
I live just out side Kalispell and drive by the Spruce Park regularly, so going there will not be much of a camping trip for us. If anyone wants to do a gathering in northwest Montana, I certainly can suggest some places to camp. I would like to know what time frame to plan for.

:D :) I guess that makes you the perfect host. LOL Group camping is different even if it is on your home ground. sure wish I could come up there. Maybe next year but you might want to plan for "your" summer... :worship: ;) I hear it is snowing in Yellowstone again.... :frightened:

Hi Miriam,
We've only been doing the TD thing for a bit over a year and have never been to a TD gathering. We've been into antique cars for a number of years and have hosted a National event for the club we aare members of. So I know a little bit about the dynamics of group outings but not in the camping mode. My biggest reservation of doing a group camping thing, is I have my ideas of what I like in a camping trip and I'm pretty sure it's not like what other people like to do on a camping trip. So I figured it is much better that when I finally deside to attend a TD gathering, go to someone elses gathering and see how they organize it.
I guess you heard the forcast, it's true. Snowing here in the high country.
