Slow,

We had a great time last year and we are looking forward to doing it again next year. We are hoping to get a Coleman Lantern and a Dutch Oven so we can roll with the big boys. :D

I got it on my calendar and told all my family, those dates are mine. Hoping my kids can join me as well. They will be using tents and I told them that is good too.

I will keep this in mind. But it is getting real close to Burning Man. And I am not that retired.

Looks like we will be there again as well. :D We should be arriving on Thursday evening and will leave on Sunday morning.

Going to plan it a little different this year. Instead of doing a wham, bam, thank you ma'am 3 day trip, which consisted of 1 day of driving, 1 day of being at the gathering and then another day of driving home we will extend our trip a bit so that our ratio of hanging out vs. driving across the desert is not so lopsided.

We're planning to go to a bunch of gatherings this year, the most we've done so far! We will also be hosting some of our own for anyone who wants to show up. I'll post the details when we know them.

Also I am happy to say that in contrast to 2012 when we had no Coleman lanterns, and 2013 when we only had one and it was not a working lantern, we will have at least 2 working lanterns and possibly 3. I actually have 9 lanterns right now (not counting the cheap electric one I got at a thrift store for $3.50) and at least 4 of my 9 work, so I will definitely be bringing several. Light 'em up!

I have already scheduled my vacation and working on my campground reservations for my 2 week road trip. Walk the Winds will be right in the middle of my trip and I look forward to meeting everyone.

Well we will be there with at least 3 working lanterns and maybe a stove or two! We will also most likely bring our kayaks.

I have my route planned out. Will be on the road 17 days with 10 of those driving.

I will be a Walk the Winds Thursday evening and stay until Sunday Morning. Going to drive around 3000 miles all together.

Highlights of my Trip will be:
Beartooth Highway into Yellowstone National Park.
Yellowstone National Park for a couple of days.
Down through the Grand Tetons to Walk the Winds.
Then head south to Dinosaur National Monument
Next is Black Canyon of the Gunnison North Rim for a couple of days.
Last on to the Great Sand Dune National Monument for a day before heading home.

John, if you are looking for another nice campground you might check out Firehole Canyon, in the Ashley Forest. It is about 20 miles south of Rock Springs WY in the southwest corner of the state. We stopped there on the way to the first Walk the Winds and really enjoyed it.

This was our view at Dusk from our campsite....

Beautiful picture. Thank you for the recommendation.

I already have my itinerary planned but will definitely keep this as an alternative.
