Teardrops n Tiny Travel Trailers

I talked with a few of the people that attended the first teardrop camping outing at Pammel Park and they all think we should have another gathering there. I was thinking the weekend that would be a good one is August 15th-17th 2014. It coincides with the last weekend of the Iowa State Fair. Also that weekend in Winterset will probably be their BBQ Shootout. In Winterset for those that are Quilters in the group there is Fon's & Porter's Quilt Shop. The Freedom Rock & The Bridges of Madison County are all attractions to go visit. There are nice restroom facilities at the campground. Only tip that I have is to reserve the Sites 21-36 are the "shaded" sites.. in the trees. The rest of the sites are out in an open field but for those that have easy ups for shade they are nice sites.

Facilities:
36 Rock-Surfaced Sites.
50-30-20 amp electrical service/site.
Water hookups at each site.
Tent only sites ( Five, elevated) as posted.
Modern bathrooms & showers.
Play Equipment.

Camping Fees:
** All fees must be paid at the time of placing reservation and are nonrefundable. VISA & MASTERCARD accepted.
** Reservation fee: $5.00/Site
** $18/night/pad = 30/50 Amp electric, water, table & grill at each site.
** Minimum 2 nights on weekends

I've always wanted to camp at this campground. I have put it on our calendar!

Hey Sonoma! Sandi and I organized that first one.. and we've been thinking about doing it again but glad to see you picked it up! :-) We met a lot of people at the last event we don't typically see down this way. We'll put this on our calendar for next year.

We may try and do an impromptu gathering the end of this month/first of Nov. depedning upon the weather.

I found out that reservations can be made in January 2014.

I just reserved site 26 for August 14th-17th. We are ready to start reserving sites. PM me or reply with your site number.

I have had this gathering marked on my calendar but, will have to wait to see if I am able to make it.

Chuck and I are registered into site #28. We will be a late evening arrival. I am sure there will be more discussion as the date draws near about potluck etc! Looking forward to seeing some familiar faces and meeting all of you TD friends we haven't met yet! :-)

Greetings! We are new to the forum so please bear with us! We are signed up for the gathering! Spot #29 We have an original 1946 teardrop trailer. We used to live in western Kansas so attended the Colorado gatherings. Looking forward to this one and meeting trailer enthusiasts! We have several trailers: 1948 Curtis Wright (Model 2), 1956 Cardinal, 1958 Siesta, 1959 Oasis. Hmmm I seem to see a pattern here! lol Anyway, can't wait to meet everyone!

Our unit isn't technically a teardrop either, I reckon... but I enjoyed visiting with some of you folks 2 yrs ago at Winterset, so I'll talk to my better half and see if she's game for it.
