Mike, If you want to make DO cooking easy, use the Dinwiddie method. Works for any size oven. Place 1 ring of coals touching all the way around the far lip of the top. Put another ring just under the bottom edge all the way around. If you want to brown the top, put a couple coals in the middle of the lid. Super easy way to cook.

Good site for recipes too.

I'm making good progress toward getting there. Left Monday, in Loveland CO tonite. Estimated 6 hours of driving to go. I'll sleep in Thursday till folks start arriving.

Come early and beat the crowds :D

Is this place maintained? Should someone bring a weed eater?

Sounds like great camping weather to me. Looks like night time lows mid 40's Daytime highs mid to high 70's. Out of the heat like camping is supposed to be. I'm so jacked I'm leaving home a day early. Plan to spend Wednesday night at Craters of the Moon. Then on to Walk the Winds.

See ya'll soon! Oh! The White Mountain is a soakin'. Home cranked ice cream in the mountains. It doesn't get any better than that.

Is there a group site? if so is there room for another teardrop? what would I be looking at fees wise? I know super late notice, wasn't expecting to be able to and probably shouldn't but I might be able to make it happen and the wanderlust is strong this week.

Really hope you can make it.

Been home for a couple hours now. What a great time, in a beautiful part of the earth with wonderful people. I had a very relaxing long weekend doing what I like to do most- eating great food in between hours of doing almost nothing. The view of Green River Lakes with Squaretop Mountain as the backdrop is well worth the trip.

Thanks to everyone who put this gathering together and to all who made the effort to come. Love ya all. Looking forward to next year.

Great to see you there. Looking forward to the next one.

Your friend had a couple book recommendations. I can't remember what they were. Could you ask?

What a great weekend.
Always good to catch up with old friends and make new ones.
Now for the :pictures:

Made a stop at Farson Mercantile for a late lunch. Got a single scoop of ice cream, that was anything but regular size.

I got home about 8:30 last night. I took the scenic route through Jackson and Grand Teton NP. I couldn't camp at my planned stop in the Snowy Range due to 4 feet of snow. BTW, it was 1,636 miles from New Fork Lakes to my driveway. Man are my arms tired!

Great gathering as usual, I had a lot of fun, and was really glad to see everyone there!
