Well, I'm going by two things; what I saw on the .gov website and my personal experience of having received a cancelation and refund for a group site reservation that I made for a site here in the Jemez of NM.

We cannot make it to WY this year but I do hope it works out for those who can.

Restrictions were lifted by governor Gordon today but after seeing a sick native American family in Smith's this,afternoon in Riverton I am going to stay put at home on the farm.and prepare for the 2 wave....not worth it they looked really bad.....i finally got to see how real crona really is....slow.

Far as i know both national.parks have not re-opened and aperntly not the forest...information on Facebook was just state parks had re opened..and fishing permits and the 14 day quarteene is off...

But yea seeing sick natives in town cured me on traveling..slow.

Go to receration.gov...New fork lakes is listed as closed..it fully states refunds have been already been issued...i am defently not coming..mnt don is posting correct screen shots...big yellow warning message.....see you all next year after a vacine... hopefully by January as president trump said on the radio monday..slow.

Yes, New Fork Lake group area is currently closed. If one was to scroll on down page it states area is open May 21 2020 to Sept. 08 2020 peak season and Sept 09 to Sept 30 2020 non peak season.. I have not received a refund or notice of cancellation. Hope so see you all there.

I dont know about this any more i think I am going to bail this year I been coming for 7 years i am getting bored with new forks last year and the state is still climbing in crona cases latest numbers even on fox news are up 616 cases from last Fridays 559...so with being out of work still and trying to do David Ramsey and quit kicking the can on bill people, the stuff you gota do when you get laid off, and now with crona you defintly can't find a new job worse than before...i can't see spending 200 bucks to travel 191 miles to go camping...i want to get debt free and get responsible and my life back on track...so...yea..i am ready for new places to camp and fish closer to home and that wont cost so much for food or desil this year...and with crona numbers still rapidly climbing,.it seems stupid to exspose myself to a lot of out of staters..so..i think I am probaly not coming..slow.

I believe you're right Rob. We have a small group that is going to try and make the gathering this year. As long as the State is open and people are going to show up, we should be there. New Forks is in a great spot and the price of camping is cheap, can't beat that. Hope to see you in a few months.

Looking at various webcams, the snow in the big country seems to be melting nicely.
I have a fresh chain for the saw, we can convert beetlekill to firewood. Things are looking up .

Don't know we hit 715 cases state wide 5his week death toll jumped from 7 to 10 cases and a nursing home now in worland and has a out break in it.to me even if they are re opening the state up its not safe yet with the crona numbers going up every day worland had only one case till yesterday when the nursing home strangely had a out break up there....i keep seeing natives in the food store in Riverton still looking sick or recovering. And riverton has 200 cases the worst in Wyoming ..i am..still short on cash the econey just went from the frying pan into the fire with crona. And yea 7 years later i am wanting to camp some were else for a change getting bored with pinedale area after 7 years straight every summer over there..me and Steve tried in January to set up a new gathering by buffallo and Sheridan but ran into camp ground issues ..the pinedale are is awsome. has a lot to it. but I still do not feel this is a okay year to even hold a gathering..its just a mess and not even safe to the local pinedale community so I bailed on hosting and reserving new forks in March I didn't want my name on it as most people who come are from out of state and the cronas cases here in Wyoming have not even slowed down yet..slow.

Yellowstones is open as of today but no camping in the park is,allowed on crona.re opening restrictions..
