It was great seeing YOU at the "Last Gasp" too! George and I really enjoyed our time with you. Hope it was as much fun for you! Thanks for coming!

Pam

Thanks, I had fun there too. Now I just have to find a good park and some time to figure out what to try and cook in the DO  and the day there had reinvigorated my, until recently, lax interest of going out and enjoy the outdoor some more. Just today i've bought a pretty good fanny pack with 2 drinking bottle pouch and some emergency items (such as a small first aid kit and emergency blanket (the shiny metal looking one)) to pack in so I would be at least a little prepared if i get caught in any bad weather during the hikes at the mountain west of here. Maybe i'll try the barr trials that i've heard about. well it is getting late here anyway so good night y'all. and thanks for all of the good time y'all have shown me that day 8)

Thanks Pam.
Parker is still talking about your dog, he got a kick out of that.

Here are the few pictures the wife took while I was yapping away.

Nice pictures Gerdo, We only have some of the old train out front. When the wife found out it was going to cost $21.00 a person to see the bridge she was so mad she did even want a picture of it. :x

Wow! I haven't been there in years, but I didn't remember having to pay to see the bridge. I think I did have to pay to drive my motorcycle to drive over it though.

When we went there in 1985 I don't remember paying to see it either. You just had to pay a few bucks to ride the elevator thing down to the bottom. Now it is a whole amusement park we just wanted to see the bridge. They were also going to carge me $12.00 for my 8 month old. To be fair, you do get $7.00 back if you stay less than an hour. :?

We didn't want to pay either so we just went hiking to see it. I had driven across the bridge in a 26,000 lb truck years ago. That was a trip, It caused ripples down the planks. People were scrambling to hold on.
