Julie, wish we could make it but Gene just had surgery on his eyes and got the stitches out yesterday so we won't be doing any camping that soon. I am also having a bad asthma attack and back on prednizone. Gene is even going to miss the auto x this week end, that is bad.

Any way, we will be thinking of you guys and gals all having fun. Hope to see you soon.

Fort Gibson Dam Site Camp out

Postby queeniejeanne » Sun Jul 19, 2009 7:30 pm

Below are our photos of what all of you missed that didn't think it would be a good weekend to camp out.....the weather was awesome....We had fires that would have made War Pony proud, it got so cool in the evening and mornings we had to wear jackets and warm by the fire.
Julie picked a great site and did great with the weather.
The peach festival is worth the trip alone. Ice cream, peaches and loads of carnival food, what more could a tear dropper ask.

Well,.... thanks Phil, Dennis & Jeannie and Rick & Linda for joining me !!! You made it such a fun weekend!! and what good food and laughs and great weather!!! Sorry for those that didn't come... it was actually more like late May or early June weather and the camp was quiet and maybe half full... we didn't really have neighbors but some great camp hosts and the usual visitors and "fans" ...

I got home about noonish today ... All unpacked, showered and rebandaged...

Here's the story... http://tnttt.com/viewto ... 854#547854

MUCH THANKS to Phil (Okiecamper) for fixing me up after I fell on my bike.

Here's a few more pictures. thanks Dennis for yours !!!
