Two weeks to go.

I'm looking forward to this event. Weather should be good, I hope.

Oh man!!!
Wish we were closer. The 21 hours would be a bit of a travel!
I wonder if they'd do the same at the PA Cabellas??? I should check into making that happen!!

I was just on the Cabelas website and it looks as though each store holds a series of events from Birthday parties to hosting meetings to offering organizations tours of the facility. If there was one closer to where I live I'd head right there and take the info from this thread.........and indicate that I was part of the local area T&TT group and would co-ordinate such an event...I think most stores are interested in these kinds of things nowadays...it gives them exposure and additional customers.

I say go for it folks...this could become a national event pretty quickly!

Lester, Have you made any progress on your build?
I have it on paper and in my head for now. I got my pocket hole set. I thank it's like yours. May start getting my wood in a few weeks. So how far did you get on yours? Will it be ready for Cabelas? You need a hand with something call me. :D

We arrived Friday afternoon about 5pm.

Brian & Stacey's '48 TD.

I brought my unfinished TD to show folks what a build-in-progress looked like.

Here's a closer look at my build.

This was it. We had 5 trailers total.
There were about 7 people who came by that were in the building progress and a few more local trailer owners that didn't hear of the event.

It started to drizzle a few time Saturday and I had to roll my TD under the building's awning to keep the exposed wood from getting wet.

Saturday evening it started to rain. We set up another shelter to keep dry, but then retreated to the building's side awning.

All in all, it was a nice weekend and we had lots of visitor wanting to know more and where they could get plans to build. We had fliers printed with information and also led them to this site and tearjerkers.

A spoksman with Cabela's is going to pass the word to their other stores about having more events like this.
They asked if we'd schedule another event with them sometime before the year is up.
