That's a plan! But, why are we waiting until Feb. 2?

I think that is the earliest they will take reservations for the September weekend we are planning.

Yes, when I called they said they were not reserving that far ahead yet and they were overwhelmed with their winter train promotion. They said after mid-Jan but I thought it we all hit them on the say day it would make an impact.

Done and done thur, fri and sat nights. Lady was very nice, of course can't reserve, but did mention group and sites 1-6. If r.r. tickets are wanted, there is a 10% discount to site and train tickets. Still could not use my Texas State Parks Pass :( Around 90 bucks for the three nights. Now just markin' time. :) coyote/coyotette

Thanks for the remnder!! I just made my reservation at 903-683-2561. She said when you call in to reserve, (and when you show up) mention the South Central Tears and my reservation number and they will "try" to put us together but couldn't gurantee that it would do any good. I just reserved Fri and Sat but will probably add Thursday later in the year. Total was $64.95 for two days and my Reservation ID is: 44941 :vroom:

Dave we might have been reserving at the same time! Yes, it isn't a state park but there's no park entry fee anyway.

Sounds great to me. So this will be our September gathering instead of going to Loyd Park once again. Do we need to start getting reservations at this park now?

When I was talking to Woody it seemed like that was kinda the idea. Maybe the end of summer gathering should always be at a new place since it's the first gathering of the season? Plus it will keep us visiting new places!

So far I just see Me and Dave (Coyote) reserved and there are only 32 sites so it would be cool to load this place up way in advance and I bet we can do it! I'll post this to my vintage camper groups too so maybe us like minded people can take over the park! Time to reserve! :vroom:

Me too, Friday & Sat. :D

Is anyone planning to ride on the locomotive? I don't think I can pass up the opportunity. It's only money.

No, no. Not just ride the train, but ride on the big black machine-ey looking thing in front. It costs extra, you know.
