So, Eddie, I assume we are going to eat the traditional way, by dumping the bounty on tables, and dive on in?

I can round up some big trays if we want to go all high class. 8)

You are refering to a Red Neck Crawfish Boil and not Shrimp. A little more CLASS is needed for shrimp.

Where is Spinnernuts Wisdom and AAAHUUUGA on the BEACH BASH. He probably is blending in with the Natives so well we don't notice him. The ones that come will see what I mean.

Why not come Thursday night to Crystal Beach and save the State Park fee. We will be Chilling by then.

Eddie, thanks for the invite. I have a goal to camp in as many Texas State Parks as I can. I thought while I was in the area I would mark another park off of my list. There are 60 something state parks that allow camping and I'm getting close to 25% of them.

We are planning to arrive around midday on Friday the 6th. We are going to spend a couple of days at the 18th Dam gathering and the head out. We will do some sightseeing along the way.

The plan is to come from Lake Shasta through Bridgeport CA to Needles CA to Tucson AZ to Van Horn TX to San Antonio to Crystal Beach.

Really looking forward to the event, meeting new people and greeting old friends.

See you soon,

Jerome & Dolores

Jerome, as you approach San Antonio, jump off at Kerrville and go up to Fredericksburg for lunch or dinner. It is a quaint Hill Country town built by German immigrants. Lots of little cafes and antiques and crafts stores.

If you spend the night in that area, you can make it to the beach in about six hours, depending on the traffic and the ferry.

Scott, there are a limited number of spaces by the beach house for people who need to be close to the house, or need electricity for health reasons, etc.

Most of us are dry camping on the beach. It should be nice and cool at night, with a good breeze.
