We can bring a sausage, corn and hopefully some lemons, our store has been a little iffy on the lemons.

I don't eat seafood, but I'll drop a few bucks in the pot in case my husband steals a few shramps

I believe we are planning on being there Friday afternoon.

I really hope the wind calms down, been real windy here lately! but I'll take the wind over the :rainy:

Thanks! Can you tell me what amount of these items you are bringing, so I can update the list?

I can bring some corn, I don't buy fresh food so how much are these? I can share with someone if they are $10/bag LOL

We are taking the heads off first???

Thomas, you can get the frozen corn on the cob in bags of 12 or 24. That works fine, and fresh corn won't be good until June.

You can also do some smoked sausage, instead. Those come in one pound packages, and you can freeze them before you hit the road, and they should travel well.

Lemons travel well, too. If you buy them a couple days before you hit the road, they will be fine.

If you do frozen corn, you may want to wait and buy it at the Big Store at the beach. It's only about a mile from the Beach Bash.

Just got in from the Beach and the wind was up, the tide was in , and the temp. was very pleasant, people were having a great time. We need a head count that is fairly accurate so I can make arrangements for the Shrimp. Had to get some this weekend , just to sample and they were GREAT. If any body needs my cell# , pm me and I will get it to you.

Getting Excited,

CD I was not thinking frozen vs fresh, just how much a bag was. Sorry for the confusion.

Sausage might travel better with me so I think I'll bring 5-6lbs of smoked sausage.

I can pick up corn at the store locally, so I'm in for 1/2 of these. I'll also help with the prep work.
I'll be out of touch after this Fri morning unless I can find a connection somewhere, so See everybody at the beach!

I'm still planning on coming ! I'll be broke before I leave here on Friday, and broke when I get home from the beach bash , but what the hell !
If I don't get some time off work and get out of town soon, I'll literally blow my mind !!!

I will likely be traveling and eating cheap, but tell me what I need to contribute to the shrimp boil and I'll get it.
Gonna be at the Relay for Life like Jeff (and others) then on to my brother's place near Leander for the first part of week, then onto the beach probably Wed ... if Jeff, you'll be there or I can wing it on my own I guess.

THINK BEACH !!!!!

Thomas, I put you down for 5 pounds of smoked sausage. That's half of what we need. Thanks!

Buy them on sale, and freeze them. They will be good to go when you get here.

Jeff, I have you down for 48 ears of frozen corn. Thanks!

You should be easily able to buy those when you get to Crystal Beach at the Big Store.

Okay, I'll put you down for the lemons, for now. That is plenty, by the way. We need to spread this out.
