So today I get the same no availability stuff today on the reservation site and call to make the res, and the guy acts like I am a non-internet using fool. I guess he probably gets alot of fools, so I cut him some slack. So while he is doing the phone res, I am trying to check status again and the website completely goes down... LOL... VINDICATION. So anyway, I am reserved! I am just doing another one nighter on Saturday because Friday I am going to put the engine in my car. I might not be able to camp long, but at least I get to camp two weeks in a row and I will get a little of everything I want done.

PS: The dude on the phone said to take out ALL the options when doing your quick search and it should give you the availability. The site went down so I couldn't test it, but this might help some people later on to try.

Remember, we will be bringing chili, cornbread and fixin's for Friday night dinner. Hopefully we won't have any uninvited guests like last year.

Are we doing a potluck for Saturday night? I think CD did a stew last year.

I don't think there is any question what is on the menu for Sunday breakfast.

If folks want, I reckon I could make that beef and vegetable soup/stew again if Woody will supply the cooker, again. We can do it like the gumbo at LCG5, and I can put up ingredients, and we can all bring something.

Let me know.

Wow seeing this makes me want to HURRY UP on my current projects so I can get to start my own build. But hey We got tents.! and it's big enough to put wheels on. My 5yr old got her first taste of camping and she loves it. But a Tent may be a bit cold in December.

We camped at Ray Roberts twice in tents before our tear was finished. Once was not bad but the other time it was really cold. This weekend should be pretty nice. Come on and join us.

Sounds good to us.

Since we are bringing the chili for Friday, don't expect much from us in ingredients for Saturday.

Okay, it looks like I can make it for at least Saturday and Saturday night. Friday depends on what happens in my Accounts Receivable department.

I have some of the soup/stew ingredients already, so I only need volunteers for the rest, which includes...

1. 5 pounds of cheap beef. I saw chuck roasts on sale for $2.49 per pound at Kroger today, and that would work just fine. If you want to cut it into 1/2 inch chunks in the comfort of your kitchen, and pop it all in a zip lock bag, that would be fantastic.

2. 1 five-pound bag of red potatoes. Don't cut them up, or they'll oxidize.

3. Two bunches of celery. This is another ingredient that can be cut at home and brought in a zip-lock bag. Wash well and cut into 1/4-inch pieces.

4. Two 16 oz. containers of sliced mushrooms.

5. Some nice crusty bread would make a good accompaniment, if someone is so inclined to supply it.

I have onions, all the liquids and all the herbs and seasonings. I also have bowls leftover from LCG, and napkins. Bring your own spoons.
