Called reservations three weeks ago and I have been moved from 38 to 31. Snakeinthegrass (Tom and Sarah, sassy and Kodi) Looking forward to our first Teardrop event. Lake Bistineau has had a serious problem with Salvinia infestation. We lived out on the Lake for 6 years but moved back into town because of the lake drawdown every year. It is no fun if most of the water is gone out of the lake.

Welcome to the forum!

You have chosen the best gathering to attend. Lots of good food, good people. Well worth that trip from SA. We all look forward to meeting you.
Still graced with two eyes and ten fingers (due in no small part to luck!).

Then, you have to wear a costume all weekend.

Hey, guys...this is our first teardrop gathering (or any kind of camper gathering for that matter) so I have a question: is anything planned that I should put on the "To Bring" list? I mean, should I plan on bringing a dish for a pot luck or anything of that nature? If so, can someone enlighten me on what sort of yumminess would go over well in these sort of get togethers? Anything else I should think about bringing along? Thanks for any input.... 8)

Do not bring a lot of food, bring a dish. You will see when you get there. bring something to drink, you will have a blast.
and don,t talk about camping, or you will be there all after noon. LOL.

Adhorana, Spinnernut is correct. There should be an additional post starting up about food for Saturday evening and then probably the dinner Friday evening for gumbo usually everyone contributes to that, then on Saturday morning there is usually a group breakfast that people bring stuff. There should be some activity on those posts pretty soon. Bring your chairs, drink preference and enjoy. I know I'm going to enjoy it.

Thanks for the info...Sandy, I'll be looking forward to talk about food and, for sure, we'll have our drink in tow. Getting excited to meet a bunch of crazy, fun folks! Rhonda and Pat 8)

A Friday night Gumbo thread has been started. If you are going to be there Friday, sign up to bring an ingredient.

I am so excited to see everyone again and enjoy camping. I am counting down the days.
