I love that drive. One of the best times in my life that I remember was driving with my wife at the time and her parents to a family reunion, and they were wondering who this long haired hippie guy who married their daughter was. I played in a band then, and my hair was all the same length and down to my belt. No one knew how it was going to go in a car together for 12 hours but it was totally cool when I slipped in the Johnny Cash cassette, (yeah it was 15 years ago), and we all were singing the lyrics out loud. I was a shoe in when I knew all the words to Five Feet High and Rising.

Good times.

There are 4 Shelters still available after I reserved mine just now for Sat. We'll see if Kat can make it too. I'm gonna call the park tomorrow and let them know I am coming Sat and to please try and situate me with the Woody Perkins Crew, otherwise we all might be ridin shotgun on the spinernuts lil skooter if we are separated

I don't have a turkey fryer, but I'll smoke one for everyone.

Hey Woody, I have to work Friday and Friday night and Kat couldn't come for two nights so my only option was to just book Sat. I don't care too much for one night camping, but it's not so bad if you get there at check in.

Do you think that might cause a problem? I could see it possibly being so, but I didn't want to pay the extra $25 just to hold it :(

What do ya think?

I think everything will be fine. they will let you in before check in Sat. if the spot is unoccupied.

Then I'll go ahead and fix a brisket to go with it.

Hopefully they will only put someone in a one night reservation near you guys, and not a two nighter. We'll take it as it comes, the site is paid for now! I have to get up hook up and drive out to NW Ft. Worth to get Kat, then head down to the park so I probably won't get there until 2pm which is check in time and that is my GOAL.

Want me to bring anything for the turkey fryin experiment?? I am assuming I can join in??

Thomas, we can use all the help we can get.

Dave the brisket sounds good incase the turkey isn't. At least we'll have some meat to eat.

Linda, I'd actually rather be camping, it's a long ways to New Hampshire :? I've done it before, but we camped on the way up and back. Not taking the TD, so I guess I'll have to motel camp on this one :(
