Family drama strikes again. We won't be in attendance this time. I was really looking forward to this, and maybe meeting some new faces, and seeing new places. We'll still be camping at that time, (allready have vacation time set aside) but it'll be a little more off grid(away from cellphone service) for getting heads together more better.

I hope everyone has a great time, I'll see you down the road at some other time.

I started a thread for FOOD for the pot luck dinner. Like I said, not sure how to make it a sticky....

We plan on coming down on Thursday as well. Should be there by 10 am. I will be getting in contact with the DESK lady and rangers to see if there is anything I need to do upfront. Since there is only ONE campground in the park, we shouldnt have any problems with all of us being in one place.... ;) ;) I will update you when I get more info

Well, we're still planning on hitting Caprock after the ITG in Minden. It all depends on how well I'm doing at the ITG. Got my reservation a couple of months ago. There will be two of us coming in indirectly from Californis. Marianne from Acton is coming with us to help Tanya get me to where I want to go (I'll be driving). We plan on being there Thursday. I mean how long does it take to get from Minden to Caprock? ......

Dave, are you guys going to make Minden the week before?

Well, I've got reservations already and with everybody talking about arriving Thursday , I might just do the same. Looks like I will drive down with the camper and Kenny might be coming down Fri a.m. on his motorcycle , so we can do a little touring down around there.

Hope the weather will be good . Are they on a forever burn ban like Palo Duro?

Gage, I didn't realize this was ITG year. I guess I've been living under a rock. Cindy and I are looking at this now.

BUMP ...,. 2 weeks away ! Kenny & I both have had stuff going on , and it's been hot here. But hopefully will have an inside cabinet and the stove hooked up by then .

He's gonna try to take that Thursday night off, and if so we will likely leave about noon . We'll have to leave early Sunday to get back.

I miss my camping!!!

Does anybody know if there is swimming in the lake or how deep the "river" is at the park? In short, can I get in water to cool off or is standing the shower the closest thing?
