As of August 15, 2010, the following laws went into affect. It’s mostly good news, thanks in no small part to the Louisiana Shooting Association (LSA):

Valid Concealed Handgun Permit holders may enter the 1,000’ “firearm-free” zone around schools but must still remain off of school property.
Concealed Handgun Permits now last for five years for $125.00.
Concealed Handgun Permits allow to carry concealed handguns in churches but only if the holder individually is granted permission by the governing body of the church to carry concealed, and they receive eight hours of “tactical training” each year.
You may possess or transport a firearm in a state park, state historic site, state preservation area, wildlife management area or wildlife refuge.

For those coming in on Interstate 20 Be on the lookout for road construction Between Longview and Marshall. Expect a short delay.

I am meeting Planovet and wife for breakfast Thursday, and we are caravanning to LCG, if anyone wants to try and meet up along the way.

I am bringing a bottle of tequila for the Ron-ritas.

A 9mm carbine? Cool! I want to see that. I will be bringing a few of my weapons to shoot also.

We went Friday morning last year, maybe we can do the same this year.

Wow, campers are dropping like flies. Who's going to eat all the gumbo?

As for target shooting, I'm bringing a different kind or weapon and ammo.

Thank you Earl, Pam and Bob, I have been under an incredible amount of pressure at work with the new team and when I got home this past weekend, I simply did not have it in me to put additional stress on my personal life to get the camper built and probably not even finished. In the end, my original build timeline will STILL be correct... I just haven't had the time or decided to make the time. Instead my new G/F spent the weekend together and we camped out at my land and de-stressed. The new goal is my next paid for gathering in Nov. See you guys there!

Well, maybe Jack is finally going to get that small campout with 6 or 8 friends that he originally envisioned.

All you guys have a great time. Take pics. Will miss seeing you.
Still graced with two eyes and ten fingers (due in no small part to luck!).

Just when you think a problem is solved, an uglier result replaces it.
