don't foget the campground closes for the winter so if you think you want to go make your reservation soon, you can always cancel later if you need to. And do it before the regulars make theres for next year. 8)

We just signed up - we think. (We didn't speak to the "person in charge" of the group reservation) At any rate they took our reservation.

Sounds like fun - anybody have suggestions for a cool round trip from Central Colorado and back?

Just found this post, sure sounds like fun. We will see if there is any space left when the park opens next May. We will kinda plan on it and keep our fingers crossed.

Wow! 19 spaces reserved. You guys have a gathering. I will also watch this ad call in May when they open. Might just drop in even if we can't get a space there.

Looks like it will be a nice little gathering. And even though the lady said she would hold 20 spots for me, she said as long as people called and she could add more spots if called early.

Ok, so I'm sitting here looking outside and the sun is shining on the new snow and it's 32 degrees outside.
So I pull out the maps and look for what route to take to Chama.
Thinking of stopping at Bryce, North Rim and Monument Valley on the way down from SLC. :D  :applause:
Can anyone make recommendations for must do, were to stay etc. for Monument Valley ????

Thanks
Wolfgang

Not to try and hijack the thread, but Wolfgang you should consider coming over to twain and tears in NV next summer. Not that far from SLC! Done with hijack.

Debbie,

Plan is to go to Yellowstone right after Memorial day for the rest of that week. So the time frame for Twain & Tears camp-out is just too close.
I am thinking about the gathering in your neck of the woods in September. Well see later in the summer how things are going at work.
