I'm bumping this thread since it's getting close.

I have some questions:
1 - does anyone know what the sites are like - will teardroppers have room for a side tent and a galley awning/easy-up? the photo posted earlier sure looks tight
2 - are we going to be right next to other, read that larger, trailers and RVs? Do we need curtains?

3 - is the use of charcoal allowed for dutch oven stuff? (personal use at campsite as well as for potluck)

I'm also wondering about what was said about bunching together in one site. How will that work? Will it cut the cost?

I know they just banned open flames due to light winds and not sure for how long. The sites are pretty big, about 60 foot long and wide enough for big RV's can extend there awnings. There will be some standies showing up and sure will be larger rvs there. Just talked to the ranger station and they said no open fires including charcoal until it rains and get some moisture. Propane is grills and fire places are OK.

We are leaving tomorrow. (Friday) My friend Donna is coming with me. Heading to ABQ first for a visit there, then up thru the smoke, thru Taos, over the gorge, probably to Mesa Verde, then see you in Chama Wed. Or Thurs. I will not be bringing the little silver 4 by 8 Pleasant Valley, will be bringing a red 5 by 10 Pleasant Valley. The 4 by 8 is for sale. Ronnie :thumbsup:

We never do lists for pot lucks and they seam to work out pretty good.
We are planning on leaving Phoenix around 4 am Tuesday spending a night somewhere and arriving Wednesday. Drive safe everyone.

I'm bummed as I'll be unavailable and was hoping to stop by, since I live so close. Next year for sure. And Catherine, if you ever need an extra hand with your build I'm close by. You all should have fun. The weather's been great and the fires 'bout done.
