Is it time to start a 2013 gatherings list?

2013 is quickly coming upon us. Should we be thinking about a 2013 gatherings list?

My vote is to add a gathering in Arkansas. Petit Jean SP was the first time we came to a teardrop gathering, so it has good memories for us. DeGray Lake SP also is very nice and has lots of campsites, and is pretty easy to get to.

What are y'alls thoughts?

They don't have a lot of hook ups but it generally a quite place. We go there every summer generally.

I too vote for another AR gathering since I am now hitched and don't have the freedom to travel on a whim any longer, I just might be around home a little more now

Yes, I-30 East and within 6 hours you can get really far!!! I need to get back in touch with my old friend in Mt. Ida... 20 ac and plenty of places to camp. I also have a 13 ac place 2 hrs N. of Beaver's Bend on the same road in the Quachita National Forest we could camp at. Private land and dry camping. It is the land I was going to buy but decided against, but for fifty bucks I could get the key anytime.

As far as the calendar, I took it this year to give CD a break and I was just really excited about camping. I can keep a 2013 list unless CD or someone else wants this year. Just feel free to create the thread, but remember... If you create, you must maintain. If there is no thread by Dec, I'll create one and maintain.

Looking forward to getting my teardrop built, and then starting on my standy!!!

Good choice! It is beautiful! I have tent camped in the primitive camping area. As I recall, it was bear country too! But the mountainous climate was cool in June. It dropped down to around 40 at night.
