Vaddisonme, I can tell you that in 2011 we stayed in campsite 63 and it is next to the camp host site and close to the bath house but it is on an incline so to me it is not ideal, especially at night. Some of the campsites have decks. The campsites with the low numbers are a little far from the activities so it really depends on if you want to be closer to the group or have some distance from it all for a little more privacy. Good luck. :)

Where you stay is up to you but those sites close to the party site are great if you want to stay up late and be in the middle of everything. Some sites are closer to the bathrooms if that's important. I was amazed at how much closer everthing looked with the underbrush gone.

Jack, I turned 60 this year and you are very welcome to join the old farts club but I don't think I'm an old fart - maybe an old sexy broad!

Wow! 60 must be the magic number. I can vouch that it is actually painless.

Maybe as fun....... My part starts the Monday before and ends after everything is off the field. It's the things you get to do, when the crowd isn't around.  Just us and the Aircrews.

Bob and I will be in a new site this year. We have site 34. It is closer to the party!!!! So, it will be easier to carry the food and our 2 pets. We both look forward to this gathering very much and hope that maybe next year we can make it to Beaver's Bend.

Lenora & I had business in Bossier City today so we drove out to check Lake Bistineau. They're still cleaning up the blow-downs throughout the park but the campground looks pretty much as it did last October. There's more water in the lake than I've seen for a couple of years, almost as much as for LCG-I, but less vegetation on the water. That may change thru the summer. There were a dozen or so behemoth motor homes & fifth wheels along with a couple of pop-ups in the campground but generally it was pretty empty & could really use a good clean-up. Couldn't see that they've done any more construction/improvement since Oct. We're reserved in site #24 beginning Thursday Oct 24 for 3 nights (Lenora likes a short walk to the bath house on pavement ;) ). Was good to get a look at the place & we're eagerly awaiting October

Is there a website to reserve online? Or do I have to call?
