Sounds good to me, if my wife doesn't fall again and break her other foot  we could make Cedar Hill. By the way just where is Cedar Hill State Park.

It's on Joe Pool Lake just 3 minutes from nearest IHOP. Once you're there you would never guess you were in the metroplex.

Cedar Hill State Park

Postby KZ76017 » Mon Oct 17, 2005 3:41 pm

Here's the Link to the Cedar Hill State Park: http://www.tpwd.state.tx.us/publications/parkguide/rgn_pl_020.phtml

You can count me in. It's only 10 miles from me. I can make it even if I'm on call, like last weekend.

How to be together

Postby Cindy » Mon Oct 17, 2005 6:48 pm

We will be there. I want to let everyone know how the rangers told me we can be together at a state park. When we make our reservations we should all pay the whole bill for your stay. Then, when it gets close to time, we will figure out who will be there first. That person can pick up all the reservations and choose our sites.
Cedar Hill is a big park. We don't need to do anything now but when the time comes, that is what we need to do to be all together.

I'm building an 8' Jim Dandy, Per Andrew's Drawings.
For general trailer parts, check out Southwest Wheel in Irving between Empire Central and Regal Row on 183. They are a VERY helpful bunch.

Postby sharnrose » Fri Oct 28, 2005 8:18 am

We're new, we live in Ft worth just bought a Dec 46 kit kamper and we would love to join the campout. We also belong to an Texas Airheads VW club and there's a lot of interest in building teardrops to pull with these small cars. Anyways count us in. Steve & S :) haron

Steve & Sharon,

Welcome to the forum. There's getting to be quite a group up in the Dallas/Ft Worth area.

Years ago I played with Volkswagens, but have gone Street Rodding lately. Would love to see some pictures of VW's pulling teardrops.
