How exciting! The check will be in the mail later today. Oh my, I think we have used that line before early in our marriage! Our kids meet us for 3 days at Christmas each year at Beavers Bend, it is beautiful.
Just reminded ". . . that's less than a year, better keep on task". Thanks Dave & Joann

Welcome Dan!
Linda only checks in every now and then so it may be a few days before she responds. You'll really enjoy the group and Beavers Bend.

BTW. Everyone on the forum starts out as "teardrop inspector".

Take care,
Tom

Our son wants to come up from Louisiana, and tent. Since we over paid, can we add him and just use some of that overage for him? Thanks Dave. (Coyote)

That's probably a question for Linda but it seems like it would be OK.

I'm sure she'll get back to you when she checks the forum.

OMG, I am so sorry everyone for vanishing. I've just had a lot going on lately.
I got Charles' mom settled into a nursing home, got her on medicaid, closed her checking account and got her away from the grand daughter that spent all of her money.
We have 2 Grand sons on the way. Charlie is due now so I will be going to Germany on August 26th. :D :D and Logan is due around Christmas and one of my "borrowed" daughters is due in February. So, Babies is about all on my mind right now. :? :?

professor.smith we would love to have you join us at Beavers Bend. You send the funds to me at the Pollok, TX address on page 1 of this thread.
be sure to subtract the $4 for senior discount. So, $21 per night for seniors.

Coyote, I got your post. and I am sending you a private message.

Woody. thank you for calling me today and telling me to get on the forum. :) hahaha I enjoyed catching up with you as usual.

I will try to be better my friends. These babies are making me crazy.

Hi Jim, it is not too late. The list of those attending is on page 1 of this thread. We have 30 sites and they are not full yet.
As soon as deposit is received I will add you to the list and I will put you down for Thurs - Sat.
You can send deposit for Thurs night or pay for all 3 nights. I keep up with who has paid for which night and I pay the park for all nights.
$23 per night for seniors

We look forward to having you join us at Beavers Bend in 2014

Hi Linda, I sent a check for $46 which was deposited on Aug 26 yet have not seen any posting showing a reservation.
I know you have been very busy lately but this my first gathering, and I really do not want anything to fall through the cracks.
Please look into this for me.
Thanks

Change in dates everyone April 25th and 26th 2014

After being so cold at Beavers Bend several years. I held out on paying deposits until This past weekend was over.
I called first thing this morning and was so excited to find out the entire Buckeye campground was available.

I have 2 weeks to pay the deposit for Friday night to hold the campground.
For those of you that don't know how we do the reservations, Charles and I pay the deposit for the entire campground and then you mail your deposit to us. So, please get your deposit (or you can pay in full) to me by May 13, 2013. My personal funds are pretty limited this go round so the more deposits by May 13th the easier it will be on me.

I have only reserved 2 campsites for Thursday. If you think you will be arriving on Thursday just let me know and I can add to our reservation.
If you reserve Thursday yourself you will have a $5 reservation fee. It seems easier when we pay up for Saturday if all of our nights are taken care of together.
I have deposits for some folks and will post this information and get the list of those attending up later this evening.
I forget to mention there is a Senior Citizen discount of $2 per campsite so please let me know if I have failed to give you this discount.

Fees
Campsite $25 per night
Tent $12 per night (if someone older than 18 occupies it)
Electricity for then is $8 per night

Thank you again for making Beavers Bend 2013 a great success

Are there any spots left open for me? I haven't seen any updates for professor.smith , after his post on 9-20. I have recently finished my trailer (formerly called my wife's trailer), and am itching to get out and about in it. The nature of my workplace is such that I really can't do anything between Halloween and New Year's , but I might get out in the spring. If you've read my latest posts on South Central, you'll see that (1) I screwed up my reservation for the DinoValley gig, and (2) when I announced that I was going to go to LCGVIII in October, my wife countered with her plans to be travelling elsewhere for two weeks. And without the trailer I built for her! Nice. We have 7 dogs, 2 cats, 2birds to care for, so if one of us is gone, the other stays (and being a responsible type, I stay...and care for her pets). That's why I have claimed the trailer as mine. Since I gave up dragracing in '08, partially because impending layoffs, 40% pay cut, and to please her, I got stir-crazy for something to fill that void : i.e. building a trailer. Now, after 2+ years of being immersed in this forum, I can't just drop it; I want to use it! So in summary: if there is an opening, let me know, and I'll send money to you for Fri-Sat, ONE person, aged 63, not so wild anymore, wanting to camp again. Please PM me.
