So excited! Maiden voyage....wait, wife decided we should just, go the week before to Dallas to see kid spend time(grand kid, she's not fooling me), go on over to see son in Lousiana spend some time, then stop on the way home at Beavers Bend! Then back to Tulsa. I'm going to just bring my ratchet straps, I'll already have a trailer to strap it all to if this goes south! I suspect I will sleep just fine. Excited!

We are both in desperate need of a do nothing weekend.

We will be there on Thursday. I think I have only paid for Friday and Saturday. Do you need to make reservations for us or do we just tell them when we pull in on Thursday?

We're ready to go.

All of the camping gear has been moved from the shed to the garage. (Actually it's been sitting there since Beavers Bend time last year. We were no-shows for Beavers Bend and LCG. It's been that long since we've been camping.)

We'll be arriving Thursday also.

Finally received my replacement/upgrade axle from Dexter today. There's only so much time to fit it in, make minor adjustments (always), rewire the trailer plug from 4-way to 7-way (new 3500lb axle has brakes), and road test to determine if the 3000lb springs will require shocks. My wife wants me to repair the water-damaged house flooring (water heater/pipe mess) first, but she has her priorities and I have mine (OK, I'll have to work on both- both are halfway done). Minutes ticking away....

It has been a long time since I've been camping too! I am at the vintage trailer rally right now at the Kenskill made it no problem and I even took my first shower in it! Looking forward to Beavers bend and old friends

The Perkins family will be unable to attend this year so two more campsites are available. Linda will take care of assigning them to the next people in line.

We're ready for some camping! Beaver's Bend will be our inaugural trip for the 2014 season.

Hmmm...we must be pretty confident if our first campout of the year involves a 950 mile, 2 day drive just to get there!
