I am getting super excited to see so many tears in person! (Well, and meet their "people" too!)

Does anyone know about the paddling up there? Heard it's nice and we are bringing our kayaks.

Hey, if we are registered and paid do we need to pay to get into Beaver's Bend park?

OK, I CAN'T RESIST: "How much do you have to pay to get out of Oklahoma state parks?" asked the Texan....Just kidding; thanks for the info.

Hope you guys and gals and 2bit have fun. My truck is down for an Axle, bearing, and breaks and no money to fix for a while. Love to come down again. Last year was nice even with the rain. maybe BB 2015.

Haha! Wow, I am in a class all by my self!

I just packed the wheel bearings on the Kenskill and I am ready to go! I wish I could arrive on Thursday but there is just too much going on at work right now. Looking forward to taking off early Friday morning and rolling down the back roads!

Location within the park

Postby Martinjmpr » Tue Apr 22, 2014 12:42 pm

For those of us who haven't been to Beaver's Bend before, where in the park will we be? Looking online at a map it appears there are quite a few camping areas. Will there be signs? If not, what name/area should I look for?

Thanks! Leaving tomorrow! :R

EDITED TO ADD: Ok, looking at Linda's original post I see it says "Buckeye Campground" but I can't find that on the map?

I believe there are signs once you get in the park but the office can direct you too and if memory serves you just take the main road all the way back and the campground will be on the left at the bottom of the hill right next to the river, just look for all the campers and you'll find us!

Linda, my little sister and hubby said they would like to attend and pull my '63 Shasta so please put them on the backup list, I will let them know if a space opens up, they would like to attend fri & sat thanks!

Well, it has happened again. We won't be able to be at BB this year. Just use our deposit for next year and we will try again. Sure miss everyone but this is for the best for everyone.
Thomas, maybe your sis can use our spot.
