Nice looking Shasta. Can't wait to see it in person. Good luck on your trailer rebuilding adventure.

Doing good so far, haven't worked on a camper of mine in over a month! I just moved the '63 Shasta into the shop today though and will be starting on it Sunday, going to bid a deck job tomorrow.

I am hanging in there myself working on my Play Mor and making great progress. This is the build thread

http://www.tnttt.com/viewtopic.php?f=50&t=70669

Not sure when it will be done, I know I need to dedicate at least a week if not two, to getting the Shasta painted. I guesstimate I'll camp in the Shasta throughout Sept then, move to the Play Mor and sell the Shasta and begin work on the next one, probably the '62 Scotty Silverside.

I am going to visit my father in Colorado in a couple weeks so that will be good times for sure too.

So I am new here, and am in Galveston County TX. So here's my story.

I have a 2004 F150 4x4 that I am doing an engine swap on with a fresh crate motor, the original 5.4L 3V died the way most of them do. While funds and energy to get this job done are being saved up, I am at the same time working on designing and building a foamie truck camper for this. The concept is I hope simple.

#1. Lightweight, I am hauling this with a 1/2 ton truck, not like I can haul a traditional truck camper.
#2. Provides the basics. A bed, air conditioning, a place for a toilet etc...

I am moving up from tent camping, so I have the full load of tenting gear. Coleman stove, heaters, zodi shower etc... I am going to be re-using as much as possible.

Aside from camper work, and camping, I work my butt off on the job, and then work more at home because my wife and I are doing a home remodel on a shoestring, meaning I get to do most of the labor...

Welcome! When you get to it, please post a build journal of your truck camper. Take care, Tom
