Looks like I have only six months to rebuild the Insinkeratorgaritamaker. It suffered a catastrophic structural failure after the last LCG. The plastic Homer bucket supporting the motor and cooler cracked from age and stress fatigue. So sad, and at such a young age. :cry:

Please feel free to donate to any worthy cause you see fit in remembrance of this fine machine which served (and over-served) us so well.

(Luckily, I have other alkeehall to help me thru my grief.)

I'm bringing the trailer this year, hell or high water! Who doesn't mind small and noisey kids next to them? Not at early or late hours though. And does anyone know if you can pitch tent on the rv sites alongside the trailer?

Randy, it isn't the noisy little kids we have to worry about--it's the big-uns. Besides, the lil kids are tasy bait and keep the gators full and satisfied after dark. :D

The park ususally lets us do pretty much what ever we want, so pitching a tent will be no problem.

How is everyone making reservations?

I tried the online reservations on the state park website and it returned "no available facilities". I thought in the past we used Reserve America. I tried them and they don't seem to cover LA state parks.

I guess I can get out the old rotary phone and give them a call.

Hey Tom,

Here you go!! (Remember they changed it last year and people who had prior reservations had to recover their account)

http://reservations.usedirect.com/lastateparks

Oh and I don't know what we would use Reserve America for anymore, Texas State parks are reserved here: http://tpwd.state.tx.us/state-parks/ you've been out of the loop! ;)

Thomas,

Thank you for the link. I was trying to reserve via the Lake Bistineau SP webpage and the reservation link was broken.

We're signed up for site #61 for Thursday through Sunday.

Take care,
Tom

[quote="madjack"]

p.s. ...all available site are available until reserved except for 38&40 which I take for my site and the PARTY SITE.........mj

[quote="madjack"]

Oops... that's definitely close to everyone coyote, maybe too close since sites 38 & 40 are reserved for the party site! (this was covered earlier in the thread). Anywhere within 10 sites up or down from there is in very close proximity to the main group! You might call the park or reservation center to move your site #.
