The Caverns of Sonora are beautiful. Well worth the cost of admission.

I may join you at Caprock Canyon. It is a place I have wanted to go for a while and this would be a good time to do it. Would be pleasant during the day and cool at night.

Woody, I hope you do not mind me interjecting but I think it is good to note that nothing is a "Closed" event. If the tour is in town, come and join and if you can come to the next town that is great, and of not, that is great that you could come visit for a spell regardless! Point being that no one is bound by anything, you do not need to "Commit" to the whole trip. The SC group just posts what is going on and people come and go as they please, so please feel free to join in even if you are new to the group, just come on down and say hi!

Reservation made for Caprock Canyons on March 14, and 15. I would recommend reservations, because in the spring, if we have a good weather weekend, it does fill up. The possibility in March lhere includes 80 degree nice days, snow, or blowing dirt that blocks out the sun. Welcome to West Texas! The Texas State Bison Herd now roam most of the park free. But not the campground! Looking forward to the first trailer trip of the Spring for me. Ronnie

I worked today to try and make reservations. Here is what I found:
March 7 Reservations at Meridian S.P. Cross Timbers 30 amp
March 8-9 No Reservations Available in State Parks near Austin
March 10-11 Caverns of Sonora camping is first come only
March 12-13 Monahans Sand Hills 30/50 amp
March 14-5 Caprock Canyons Honey Flat 30 amp

I could not find reservations near the Wimberly Zip Lines but will keep checking with private parks.
I did find out that Dave and I cannot do the Zip lines. We are too large and don't have enough upper body strength.

Do we want to risk that there will be spaces at the caverns?
