Meridian Birthday Party

Postby Cindy » Mon Jun 23, 2014 7:32 pm

:P It's Cindy's birthday. :P

Let's go to Meridian State Park July 18-20
Meridian is 60 miles from Ft. Worth and 23 miles from Glen Rose

The lake is spring fed and really clean.
The sky is so clear you can see the milky way.
:
ok:

We will have a shelter by the lake as a place to congregate.
Come have FUN IN THE SUN
:icedtea: :fan: :relaxing:
Joining the party so far!

Looks like not many sites there, I bet they book up fast. I will think about it, a bit hot for my camping taste but it's an easy drive and I would like to check out the place.

OK, I can feel the subliminal pressure and I really want to check out this place, so I just booked Saturday in the electric and water only section, so now there are only TWO sites left! I figure the chances are low that someone would book a Friday without a Saturday too so I will have a good chance to upgrade to a two nighter IF a cool front happens to move in that weekend. Not sure if I will bring the Shasta or the Kenskill but I'm sure you'll recognize me when I back into a tree

I'll bring dice and firewood just in case people want to go nuts :campfire:

Scotty we will miss ya but you need to get that camper ready for the fall camping season!

The website says the lake is 8 1/2 feet low and the boat ramp is closed. We're still going :D

Its my Birthday!!
The lake is up again! Everything is awesome!
I'm thinking that I will make Banana Pudding and BBQ Chicken Breasts for Potluck on Saturday.
Friday night, I think chicken salad sandwiches and rootbeer floats sound good. I will make a big bowl.

Anybody else want to join us! The swimming is great!

I was about to say who cares if the boat ramp is closed and the lake is low because we never visited any lakeshore before but this is July so I am glad to hear the lake is clear and I will bring my trunks to take a dunk!!
