Maybe Okla. just isn't enough South, but I cannot find Zatarain's roux in a jar/box or any brand roux, for that matter! Surely it will be available when we get to Lousiana! Don't worry, we are South enough to have on-yon though!

Hey, I've got a 16-oz. jar of Savoie's Old Fashioned Roux that Eddie Pounds gave to me 2 years ago!!!!!!!! This sh** don't go bad, does it???

Hahah! So that answers the question and leaves the other still open! So we have yours and Ms Strains two jars! I was thinking like someone had a bag full right before the water balloons started flying!

OK guys here is what we still currently need!
PLEASE chop/cube all ingredients beforehand!
5bs 15#s boneless, skinless chicken breasts
Roux (in a jar) any brand will work but the Chef told me Zatarains is preferred -We have three but I have no idea how many we need

Hahah! So that answers the question and leaves the other still open! So we have yours and Ms Strains two jars! I was thinking like someone had a bag full right before the water balloons started flying!
I was helping get it out of the jars and you guys were saying that the stuff would eat the skin off my fingers!(such a newb) - It was about six jars at least!

Yep, & I don't think we were 'pouring' it out either. Best I remember we warmed it up in the hot water & then had to 'dig' it out with spoons (at least the first year we did it on War Pony's deck)??

Thank you Mike! Yes we are still in need of 5lbs of chicken breasts. If you cannot show for any reason please let us know! Chop/cube beforehand and bring to the party site (#38) early afternoon on Fri. (we might be brewing at another site but we'll direct ya!)
