We are ready as well. Looking forward to meeting folks.

Just started tweaks to a shower tent to turn it into a side entrance tent this weekend. Almost done with the modifications and will test fit this week. Hoping for a good fit so it will be ready to use on the trip.

Adding some panels to a Lightspeed Privacy Tent and cutting out a door to fit with our teardrop.

As for the potluck, is this an organized thing or will it just be completely random and people bring what they bring?

:P 10 day forecast shows the sun coming out on Thursday, with warming earlier in the week! I don't do cold as well as I used to, but still better than wet. Cold and wet makes the living room fireplace look pretty darn good.

I'll burn that bridge when I come to it.

Looks like the park is full the entire week. It will probably be a challenge for us all to camp close to each other.

I talked with the park on Wednesday. With my new job we won't be able to make it down on Thursday. If that's the situation for anyone else - arriving a day later than planned - you need to call the park and let them know. Otherwise they assume you aren't coming at all and will release your reservation. (You also have to prepay if you are showing up a day late.)

I am planning on leaving sometime on Wednesday, spending the night somewhere on the way and arriving probably Thursday early afternoon.

Cindy and I will be pulling out in the morning heading Balmorhea State Park till Tuesday, then on to Boerne for a day at Fiesta Texas.
We'll be getting to Pedernales Thursday afternoon.

Potlucks always go well. We always have more than enough food.

Hello!

Just call me slacker! With working full time, and trying to run to Mineola and back on the weekends, then packing, selling stuff, etc.- I have not gotten in here to lead this group!!!!!!

SO- Let's do have a potluck- Saturday- since a small group, do you want a list so we don't end up with 5 salads?

Meat
Salad
Bread
Chips/Dips
Desert

BYOD- Bring your own drinks.

Or just go for it?

Those of you with no reservation, please see if they will let us double up- We are happy to share.

I will be happy to get there the earliest and put down the money for all so we can have a better chance to be together.
However, the park is still full, so still may be an issue.

I'll call them now to see how much they will assist.

Let me know!

Hello!

1. They will not allow doubling up.
2. As of today, they will let us use the campfires.
3. Since the park is completely full, then the sites available on Thursday will be those that are leaving, so no way really to grab a bunch together, unless some just leave that happen to be close to eachother.

There are 70 sites, so they said easily walkable between.
