Sounds good. When is the potluck, and what can I bring?

Even though I won't be camping, I may bring my trailer out just to give it another shakedown run.

Hi Jerry,

We do a pot luck in the late afternoon around 6-ish on Saturday and sometimes there will be a separate thread posted or comments made in the main thread for food people are bringing and sometimes its just "pot luck"! One thing to rememebr is to not try to feed everyone since we are all contributing! I haven't decided what to bring as yet but we are definitley meat eaters!

Our status now is that we are a "maybe". It looks like I'll be starting a new job on March 9. On Fridays I will be off at noon. With traffic and everything we wouldn't be down until around 6-7:00 or so. I don't know if the park gates are open that late.

That would be cool Tom! It look like a really neat park to explore! I hope you can make it! If something happens and you cant, you might reach out to scott and gerri, I know they wanted to go too. Hope to see you there!

Yes, I live near Austin, and its one of my favorite parks in the area. Opie's Barbeque is nearby, and it's really good, too.

Just note the pictures and heed the warnings about flooding.

Hey Woody, I didn't bother re-posting, but when I checked my reservations I had originally reserved for Thursday-Sun so that's awesome! For such a long drive and a great park I gotta do at least a three nighter! Thanks for checkin in for me though!

I am ready to hook up and go!

I dropped my dinette cushions off at the seamstress today and she said she would make sure to have them done by March 11th! It is gonna look soo cool having a complete dinette with new cushions and a new table! (Along with my new camper!) I bought a shallow tongue box for the front since there isn't propane in the camper anymore and it fits right in and very low key. I have my temp curtains made and will put them in after it thaws and I have the fabric for my permanent curtains bought but haven't decided what style I am going to do them in, I am considering the upper and lower grommets like I did on my teardrop since they looked very good. I am also going to swap the wheels from the Scotty and the Shasta because the Shasta is a big camper with small tires and 14" wheels and the Scotty is a tiny trailer with larger tires and 15" wheels. I think it will make the Scotty ride lower which I like and also will be better for the Shasta. Beyond that extra stuff, I am ready to go!!

Oh and I am definitely looking for an AC unit that will fit in the rear side window too, I hate it up front!! I am gonna paint it with aluminum paint before the trip just so it doesn't stick out so bad...

Rats! The park is full. I'm sure it would have helped to see this post 4 months ago instead of moving/relocation and all that fun.
Holy cow, Rose is a teenager now! Done? Surely you jest. A teardrop is never "done".

Serviced the wheel bearings, rebuilt the brakes, and gave the "Starship" a wash and wax this weekend. Now just hoping for a gap in the snow and ice! :snowstorm: So I can get outa here! :vroom:

I'm mentally ready to go. :? But, I need a break in this weather, so I can get a few things DONE! Since LCG IX, I got started on a few things that aren't done yet, and I want 'em finished. Don't fear. It's still campable.

Looking forward to seeing you all.

We're right there with you Brad. It's been a long time since I've wished rain would end, but we need it to end for the outing. :worship: Cold is okay; wet not so much. I just got off the phone with the park office. I guess the good news about the rain is that "cooking" campfires are allowed now (in the water and electric sites.)

The Silver Beatle hasn't moved for over a year. Hopefully it will be ready for a journey!

Take care,
Tom
