Well, Woody called to check in. Sorry, I didn't tell the whole story. Short version. Jay and I are retiring, and we, along with my mother are moving to the Mineola area. Tiny house lifestyle. Big change. Love the hill country, but moving to that area to get within a couple hours of my brother. Hope to get there by mid May. Jay will stay until the house sells. Hopefully very quickly!

See you next week!

Just call me slacker! With working full time, and trying to run to Mineola and back on the weekends, then packing, selling stuff, etc.- I have not gotten in here to lead this group!!!!!!

SO- Let's do have a potluck- Saturday- since a small group, do you want a list so we don't end up with 5 salads?

Meat
Salad
Bread
Chips/Dips
Desert

BYOD- Bring your own drinks.

Or just go for it?

Those of you with no reservation, please see if they will let us double up- We are happy to share.

I will be happy to get there the earliest and put down the money for all so we can have a better chance to be together.
However, the park is still full, so still may be an issue.

I'll call them now to see how much they will assist.

Let me know!

Stacy

So, if I counted right, there are 13 Campers coming (assuming 2 per camper) we have 26 adults, right?

We can bring our absolutely awesome Shiu Lee chicken wing/drummets. I may need some help bbq'ing it up as I only have a small volcano grill.

By the way, we will be pulling in on Friday afternoon and heading back home on Sunday.

I'm coming out for the day, but my wife is shuttling kids around so I'll be by myself. So put me down for "one". I called the park today; they said I could bring the camper even though I'm only staying for the day, but I may have to park it in an overflow lot.

For food, I could do a dessert in the dutch oven (peach cobbler anyone?). Assuming someone will let me hang out at their campsite to make it. :)

I love peach cobbler...you are welcome to hang out in our campsite. I'll even bring an extra chair.

Or mine, count me as just one also! I will have two chairs. Do you have any ice cream? :)

I'm a single, too. Sounds like we have plenty of chairs. :)
I'll burn that bridge when I come to it.

We just finished our Side Entrance tent.

My wife then started and finished new curtains yesterday.

I think there is a couple other things she is hoping to get done before this weekend.

Well Stacy we will make sure to invite you guys out for weekend BBQs now that you are in the neighborhood! An hour away is local in the country! LOL...

For the Saturday Pot Luck I am grilling 3lbs of Mexican cut beef ribs, the mexi-meat market near me does the most awesome pre marinated stuff!!!

OMG, I am pushing so hard to get ready for camping this weekend!! I just bought this camper on Valentines Day so it hasn't even been a month! I am picking up my newly reupholstered dinette cushions Wednesday evening! I built a dinette table and just got the fourth coat of poly on it and I'll be putting it together and installing it while at the park! I also got a new canopy for it too, my easy up is bright blue which I hated and I found a cool looking one that will match much better. I also put in some door insulation, painted the AC sticking out the front, then made a makeshift AC cover, installed a tongue box, relocated the power, set up the bed and transferred all the stuff from the Shasta to the Scotty, which was a challenge sine the Shasta has storage galore and the Scotty is much smaller. Plus I made some makeshift curtains and I replaced all the plumbing (OK there's just one line)...

I am excited for my maiden voyage!!!

I'll be bringing a half a truckload of firewood, I have to buy it since my unsplit stuff is still soaking wet, I hope what I get is dry enough!

I bought a heaping wheelbarrow-full of split oak that I'll be bringing. It's been under the camper shell trying to stay dry-ish.
