January Camping

Postby Woodyperk6 » Sun Jan 17, 2016 12:32 pm

The forecast looks pretty good for the weekend of the 22nd so we are planning to camp at Loyd Park in Grand Prairie Tx. that weekend. I know Greg and Terri are joining us so if anyone else wants to just meet out there come on. We'll get there on Friday evening and leave on Sunday.

My birthday is actually the 21st and I really wanted to go camping since it's awesome weather so I am going to see if I can at least do a Friday deal. I am "hosting" a party at a friend's house Saturday night so I have to be there since it's kind of a reunion, but as I am typing this I just realized that the party is also in Grand Prairie and that's alot shorter drive so I might just go to the party and then come back to the party at the park and squeeze in the Saturday night! hmm birthday camping might happen after all! Good timing Woody! I'll tag some other people on the Facebook deal to make sure they are aware of it too.

But, We in the north can walk on water :worship: and go fishing without a boat.
Just take the tear and drill a number of holes for tip-ups. We can even cook the fish as we catch them and stay out on the lake all night.

No dice! I've got a date to return to this spot:

It's at 7,955'. Holler if you need the coordinates. No need to bring the air conditioner.

Sweet! That's higher than you can tow a tear in Tx. Check your PM.

Dave took the group shot. He may have put it on FB.

The weather was great and we had a great time as well. Wish you could have joined us.

I haven't seen the group photo popup anywhere. This "may" work... I set the access to public but you never know if it is going to work, but here are my photos. I can't post them here because I get timed out within 60 seconds because of my satellite internet.
