Was really looking forward to it though.. we knew tear wouldn't make it.. we were going to come anyway and use a tent.. But oh well,,,
Plenty of other times this camping season, so we'll make one or more other gatherings for sure..

The only bone I've ever broken was done while building my tear. In a hurry to cut the opening for the roof fan, I leaned across at a crazy angle rather than move my step. Pop went a rib.

Would feel better about a closer shakedown cruise for the first camp anyway,

Nope, not the site Larry. For me, just my back is cursed.. I abused it to many times over the years.. This is it's way of letting me know it..

Has anyone thought of doing a gathering at Mother Neff's State Park? just curious.. was closed for awhile because of past flooding, though, I think it has been re-done and re-opened.. I will check into it.. David

I have wanted to check out Mother Neff ever since they reopened. If you decide to go start up a new post for it and I will do the same, could be a good way to break in the new tear!

Just to mention it: I really enjoyed the camaraderie shown by all the participants at Beaver's Bend, as usual. Shame that it's going away so soon after I started going. I only managed to attend 4 out of the 12 events, having to miss one during my streak. Maybe someday soon, there will be another event series to replace it, I hope. Thanks again, to Linda, especially, and all fellow attendees.

All we need is a location somewhat nearby and one person the break out the credit card to reserve a loop or if it is on OK or AR those states reservation systems allow specific site reservations so people could just reserve their own site and we can still be together, the second option being the more likely. We will be doing something in April I am sure!
