Schonfeld's Iron Spike of Doom

Anyone who has camped with Marlene and I, knows Spike...he has been our true and stalwart friend and companion for the last 16yrs...in all that time, we have never been bothered (or even seen) a lion, tiger or bear as he has protected our home and campsites from all comers.

I am most saddened to say on this past Thur night, after fighting a valiant fight, Spike finally gave it up...he now awaits us to cross the Rainbow Bridge...in the meantime, I am sure he is eating all the "people" food he wants and cozying up to all the ladies as well...we'll miss ya buddy and know we will see ya again at the Bridge.

We plan to cremate Spike and leave a tiny bit of him everywhere we camp so that we may safely camp wherever we should wish to!!!!!!!!!!!!!

R.I.P. to Spikeus aDogieus, aka Schonfeld's Iron Spike of Doom, aka SpikeyDog, aka SPIKE...........

Please accept my condolences on your loss.
Pets are some of the best "people" one can have as companions/family members.

Very sorry to this. We love our pets like family too. I like your idea on leaving a bit of him everywhere you camp. Brilliant Idea!

I came along too late to have the chance to meet him. Sounds like it was my loss. Condolences :(

Thanks for the flowers...for those who did not know Spike, he was a big bodied mutant chihuahua, weighing in at 15#s...he loved camping, especially when he could get loose of the leash and go exploring...loved all those new smells......
