So, when I googled Live Oak Loop I get a variety of results, none of them in Mineral Wells.
Where is this? What park or campsite?

Live oak is not the park, live oak is the loop within the park. The park is lake mineral Wells State Park. Reserve through the State Park system, I believe it is sold out but let us know

I was unable to make a reservation as well. We live in Weatherford which is not far. We may come up for the day once or twice.
We'll scout it out.
