Petit Jean is fun, although I've never camped there. Hwy 7 is gorgeous.

2 bit's, know the diamond daily find, average is 2. So, don't burn any bridges before you go. Plus, after you've had a good hunt, we found zero. (you've already driven that far) go another 1 1/2 hours to near Hot Springs and hunt quartz/crystals ( we went to Ron Coleman's) Quartz/crystal hunting the 4 of us probably got 3 gallon bucket. Maybe not worth a lot, but sure fun to be able to find something. Plus, Hot Springs is a national park. (the only national park that gives away the natural resource it's known for.....hot mineral water) And yes, the town stores sell 1 gal. jugs/lids in case you've not prepared.

Hey all, I have a three day reservation set up for the 14th, 15th, 16th at Dinosaur Valley. Friday the 14th is paid for.
Due to a couple set backs.

We are not campable yet. :( So if anyone would still like to get into Dinosaur Valley, it can probably be worked out for you to get the site, first night is paid.. :)

We will be coming up and spending the day there. Meet and have some fun..
Would like to know which day would be the best for an all day visit, Saturday or Sunday?
Is there usually a joint dinner one day?
It's only a 2 hour drive for us..
Looking forward to meeting everyone, and hanging out for some fun.... Dave, don't forget the cigars...

David

Hey David, I am sorry you are not campable I feel your pain with my own build and I had to cancel quite a few back when I was building my teardrop but quality comes first!! Saturday is definitely the day to come out, Sunday people really are hooking up and taking off.

Sounds good Thomas, closer to campable, just not there yet, and not rushin' it. "Ready when it's ready"
But, We will be there then for sure on Saturday for the day. We are not missing at least to come visit everyone.. and see some campers.. can't wait to see yours, which ever one you bring, and Dave's he's been working on.. and of course all the others :)
We'll bring our camp chairs, full coolers, and have some fun for the day.. with some new friends I'm sure :D
If there's a pot luck for Saturday, let me know.. so we can figure out something to bring for it also..

I will get a hold of the office the at the park this week, and let them know we are not making it for the reservation, so they can let someone else use it, if there's someone that would like to camp and couldn't get a spot before..

David

Yeah, I think he is getting overzealous and going to create more confusion! Maybe a new employee or a new manager.
