It was a great trip. Hot, humid, lots of rain, but I think I can honestly speak for all of us in that it was a great weekend. Glad to have had the opportunity to meet all of you face to face. Hope we can do it again sometime.

Chris C...

I just checked your root directory... it seems you haven't shared your new album yet... Just share it, and we'll all be able to see it! ;)

Just wanted to chime in with the rest of the folks in thanking Linda for putting this together. The little rain couldn't dampen the spirits of the fine folks at Beavers Bend. Really enjoyed meeting everyone and looking at all the teardrops. This should definately become an anual event. Lots of good ideas were floating around, and I can't wait to try some of them on the Alligator Tear 2.

Back to lurkin,
Jim

Wow Jim. I bet your index finger is sore from typing such a long messge.
OK everyone. enough is enough. I keep telling you all that all I did was make the reservations and ask you all for $$$$$. It was easy.
Well I think we all had a wonderful weekend. I hope we do it again next year and we will have a few more to join in. We had several folks that wanted to attend but couldn't.
Kai and Lois, I'm sorry you guys didn't make it too. Some of us were looking forward to seeing you again and others were looking forward to meeting you.
Rocky and Steve H, we will just have to work around your schedules

oklahoma campouts

Postby oklahomajewel » Mon Apr 03, 2006 6:48 am

Yes yes and yes! It was ALL GOOD.... teardroppers can't let a little rain spoil any fun and yes, it didn't dry off and the burn ban was gone so we had a fancy campfire (thanks Greg)

This has sparked some ideas on other gatherings around the Texas / Oklahoma line like Lake Texoma, Lake Murray or Arbuckle Lake. Also Possum Kingdom (TX) and some other Cindy L talked about in central TX.
Then look this fall for Grand Lake o' the Cherokees up there east of Tulsa, OK. Hopefully a lot of Ok, Ar, Mo, Ks or even Tx can make that!!!

It was wonderful to make new friends -- especially teardroppers!!!
