Welcome to the forum, JP. Just one question....what keeps the shovel handle from catching on fire?

WOW, another teardropper in B.A. Welcome to the board. We should get together sometime and talk teardrops. Hopefully we can caravan to a gathering in the future.

Welcome to the group. :)
Sounds like you are in progress on the TEAR. :applause:
As you can see ther is few Tears very close to your location. I'm about 80 miles east at the Arkansas border.
Good luck on the build and look forward to seeing you at some of the gatherings.

I have got one side framed now, and I hope to have the other side's frame built by the week end. The frame is really light and strong. The arch is made out of 1/8" ceder strips laminated to 1 and 1/2 inches. The studs are from salvaged 2x6's , I think they are spruce.

The tension between what is good enough and what is beyond that creates the space for character to become our work.

...Ya know JP, that is almost too purdy for skins...hate to see that framin' covered up...maybe you should get some optically clear lexan for the outer skin :D ;)

Wow JP, that is a nice looking job. What's with numbering the insulation? Trying to figure where all the pieces fit later is part of the fun.
