Off to the Rain Forest

Postby NightCap » Fri Jun 25, 2010 11:05 am

This weekend we are headed for the Olympic National Rain Forest. The wife has it all planned. They say it is going to be dry for the weekend, however I'll believe it when I see it. I've never been camping there before.

I'll let you all know how it goes.

"Rain forest" and "dry" seem to be two mutually exclusive terms

Have a good time

Are you going for three trips in the wonderful wet weather?
Sure your not from Oregon! (ducks/beavers) You seem to like the wet campouts

I hope you have a good time and better weather.

I haven't been there since I was little.
All the moss hanging off the trees is cool.

For a rain forest it looked drier than Ocean City campground.
I'm glad the weather was good.

I looked the campground up on Google maps. How did you hear and find this place. It looks like a great place to get away.

These were some very nice sites. Debbie did some looking up on the web to find the place. It is a first come first serve deal, but each site has places for 2 or 3 and some with more tents besides your teardrop. Big sights. 14 bucks a night. Very pretty woods.

Hey, those were delicious.

As for the slug pictures I only saw one on a hiking trail. I did get some good mushroom shots though.
