Has anyone been up Icycle creek lately

I was wondering how much work has been done on the road since the flood. I know they had it open on the weekends in 2010 before it snowed. I love it up there but it has been awile since I have been there,

CRAP!!!!! Just found out there has been another mud/rock slide on Icycle Creek Road. This time it was clear down by 8mile campground, cutting off the whole camp area. :x

Big Dan, The last I heard was that the slide has the road closed below the 8-Mile campground. I also heard that it's likely going to stay that way through the summer

I'm kinda bummed about it too. We often use 8-Mile as a basecamp for rafting & kayak during the spring melt.

Sorry, the local Rangers are pretty much letting everything go back to the wild. Up Entiat everything above North Fork is blocked off because of falling trees. They have also have taken out the cabins and several other sites because of the Tree issue.

I haven't been up to Lake Wenatchee this year. I know that the State Park was shut down early last year because of falling trees. It will be interesting to see what else is shut down up there.

Might be a good idea to take the chainsaw when up in those areas. Just in case. I know there is a danger of blow overs. It would suck to have a tree land on you in the middle of the night. That was the problem at Lake Wenatchee.
