It's been a busy summer for me, but I wouldn't miss this one. I'll be there.

Mike, is the Plymouth on the road? Are you taking it to Summer Daze? Looks good and I would like to see it in person but my daughter is getting married that Saturday. She wouldn't change the date and Rod and Trudy wouldn't either so this is the first time in years that we will not be at their gathering. I can't even sneak out early Sunday morning to come look at your car. It will look good pulling the TD. Let me know how many "thumbs up" you get if you take it to Chehalis. Plan on extra time when traveling as people will want to delay you with questions about the combination. But that is part of the fun.

It's killing me that I won't be able to make it AGAIN, maybe the fall brigade...

Sorry you won't be there, Jack. I have 3,200 miles on the Plymouth now. Tomorrow it finally gets an electric fuel pump (after my almost-vaporlock on Saturday). In a couple of weeks, I will put new springs and shocks on it. At that point, it should really be road-worthy.

The car/trailer combo does look good.

Well, it's over. It's really over. I actually did pull my teardrop trailer there with my 1952 Plymouth Concord. The round trip was 759 miles, which is quite a bit to put on a 60 year old engine. No problem with the engine, but I did have a flat with one of my new tires.

You can find my photos of the event here.

I want to thank Rod & Trudy for the past 14 years hosting "Spring Fling and "Summer Daze". :applause:

This was the final gathering that they will be hosting and Summer Daze will disappear... unless someone comes up with a new version at a new location.
Steve & Peggy are retiring hosting on their property too.
It's been fun for us campers but I feel the hosts always do too much and don't get to enjoy the event.
Maybe gatherings should be less or not organized at all like Grant is proposing for The Dam Gathering after the 20TH anniversary. :D Danny

I'm sorry I missed Summer Daze this year, I had a conflict and now I'm even sorrier because I didn't know it was the last one. Hopefully something else will take it's place, even though it will be hard to live up to Rod, Trudy, Peggy and Steve's hard work.

We too would have loved to have been there this year, but were still a couple of States to the east at that time.
Didn't cross into Washington until the 14th.

We would like to Trudy and Rod, for putting this campout on and Steve and Peggy for hosting the it :applause: :applause: . Our first time was the first Camp B location. We had a great time and met great people :) .
I mentioned maybe next year we can get together at the Ocean Tears gathering in Ocean Shores WA. Next year's date to be determined
Come to the beach, fly some kites and hang with some good people. This is a no host gathering but still fun. This year the weather was great.
More information to follow.
