Stolen Teardrop

A good friend of ours had her Cozy Cruiser teardrop stolen from in front of her apartment in Burien south of Seattle at 5am last Friday. She is a widow in her 70's with a limited income and the tear was a major source of enjoyment for her. She had recently had the battery stolen as well as the rear bumper had been cut off so she put it in storage for safekeeping and had only brought it out Thursday night in preparation for a trip on Friday. She saw the taillights as they took off but was not able to locate the thieves. We would appreciate it if everyone kept an eye out at campground/gatherings etc. They better hope I don't see them..... :x

Thanks!!!!

Please be sure to post any additional information you can so we can keep an eye out. Is it still missing the bumper? License plate number? Anything else that would help us identify it?

I don't know what possesses people to do stuff like this.

Wow thats unbelievable!!! :x

And this is why we can't have nice things.

As pinecone said, any more info (color, etc) you can get (and pictures) might help.

It is still missing the bumper. Aluminum frame with welded bumper that was cut off. She recently had it buffed so the finish is somewhere between satin and mirror aluminum. Front box is diamond plate aluminum. The VIN plate is on the right side just forward of the fender. Pretty sure this would also be missing. The trailer is identical to the one in my gallery on this site.

I just noticed this post today while waiting for my wife at the doctors office :( .
I wonder if this is the same one that was sitting in a dirt lot all by it's self in Burien, a few blocks off the freeway.
A teardrop friend lives nearby and we would notice it when we would drive by.
If I remember correctly it only had a lock going through the coupler, very trusting, too bad it happened.
I wonder if some tweekers stole it for the aluminum chassis since the bumper had been sawn off.
This is one of the reasons I over lock things and have a removable tounge on my teardrop.
:D Danny

Yes, It was stored in the parking lot of her apartment. Unfortunately a 70 year old woman just doesn't think like a thief and thought the coupler lock would be sufficient. I am still keeping my eyes open for it but you are probably right that it won't be seen again.
