We went to the Roslyn gathering last weekend.
On arrival I was told they love my car (55 Chevy) but I wouldn't be invited next year since my teardrop isn't vintage.
Vintage to them is 1970 and before.
No one checked the year of my teardrop.
There were several recreations of vintage trailers like a bread loaf, 1961 Shasta and others that were 2015 & 2016's.
Even a 2013 Airstream & Camp Inn was there.
Sounds like trailer snobbery to me, maybe they don't like teardrops, who knows.
We still had a good time and made some new friends who couldn't understand their reasoning.
We'll do something else next year at that time.

We went too! Even after hearing that other TD friends had been told the event was for "Pre 72 Trailers only and was "Full" just a week earlier. And that they were not welcome.
Miss Piggy was well received and did meet their criteria as she is a 1959. And we did meet some great folks!!
But, I have to agree with Danny on this one ..........It just did not have the feel that a Teardrop Event has.
Sandi and I discussed it on the way home, trying to put our finger on what made it so different??
And came up with the thought, that much like the RV (Motorhome / 5th Wheel) campers of today. These Standie owners all spend way too much time inside their trailers and bring way too much yard art to the campground.
The homey welcome feeling you get when you walk by a TD with its Galley open (even if the owners are not there) just wasn't there.
Also the Facilities sucked!
We will probably not go again either.

PS
We did meet some "New" TD owners on the way home and had them join us for a night at the Farm around the Fire on their way from California to Jasper.
