Hi,
I'm looking for good RV/Camping sites anywhere around Coeur d'Alene and on up to Bonners Ferry area in Northern Idaho.
Anyone have a positive experience at a campground in the area?
I have an ARB fridge/freezer in my teardrop, so I would like to have access to 15A 110VAC, but I can go a day or two on battery power if necessary.
Thanks for any tips.

Dave

Back in 2003, I spent a night on Big Creek, which is about 5 miles east of Avery, Idaho. It's a small campground with no power (that I can remember). Look here for a few pictures.

I have also spent a night at Farragut State Park. Very nice park that used to be a navy training base.

Other than those two excursions, I have spent most of the last 12 years going to teardrop trailer gatherings in Washington, California and Nebraska. Lots of TDs around here, but no organized gatherings.

Beaver Creek USFS campground on the north end of Priest Lake. West bank, north of Nordman. When I was there, it was the off season and we had the place to ourselves. No power. Dead quite and gorgeous lake view. I'd probably avoid the place on the 4th of July and snuggle into the boonies nearby. There are several other USFS campgrounds around the lake.
