Well the Fires are all around the PNW. :(
We have smoke in our Valley now, but are following the fires to the south of us  as we look forward to our Crawl across hwy. 20 (which has been closed for the past couple of days), Hoping that things will be back to normal by time the Crawl rolls around , and that the campgrounds we have booked will have been missed by the fires. :worship:
Let's keep our fingers crossed, as we have 15 Teardrops awaiting this drive,
Good Roads

Brian:

Here's a good fire site that's updated throughout the day:

http://activefiremaps.fs.fed.us/activefiremaps.php

Just click on the region and download the JPEG. It'll show you what's cooking (or not).

Tony

p.s. the gray haze has been bad here...

A whole bunch of NZ and Australian fire crews left yesterday to try to help get those fires under control.
Bad news hope they can contain them soon

Yes, I hope it all works out okay for everyone. I know three people in WA state who so far have been lucky with their mountain cabins. Three have fires come as close as a mile. One is in a 2 mile wide slot between two fires. Nasty.

Here's a wildfire info site I use Inciweb There are *.kml files that can be downloaded and used as an overlay with Google Earth.

I wish you and all others the best of luck. I came from California and well remember the hills burning.

Thanks everyone.
We have TD members and Crawl Registrants monitoring the Fire situation here in the PNW.
And with only 3 weeks to go....we will be waiting and watching to make sure that our route is safe, and the campgrounds that we have booked will still be available (there). Alternate routes are available if hwy. 20 is compromised or not open by then.
