may have to come up early in July just to move wood? as out of shape to was, I am even worse now but if I just take it slow and easy (along with the BIG billed hat for the sun) I will be ok - but you know, after what happened with the last wood pile, we could be in for the same again - RAIN !!! We will be talking. As long as I have a "map", I am good!! (no GPS here)

I remembered that you said there was a GREAT tamale place close to the AG Museum, and I thought, chili and tamales, that would be good for people coming in off of a long drive in the cold. Although beans, propane, and the butt-hutt could get a little interesting....

maybe we should bring the film projector and watch the old movie from the early 70's - wasn't it by Mel Brooks? "Blazing Saddles", it's been awhile..................

am sitting here one week from the excursion, listening to the radio report that 'traction devices' are 'required' on both passes heading east to Union Gap from here - guess I'll be putting the chains in the truck, that way they won't be needed! (Usually if you got them, you won't need them - if you don't, you will!!) Truck and trailer are loaded and ready to go !!!

he says I am good to go. says to just take it easy, easy on the lifting and NO contact sports which means I will not be going back to work at all - will be on sick leave until it runs out in 3 weeks than be on vacation every work day left till 31 May which will be my final work day then be put out to pasture on the 1st of June. When I told him that I was do for my yearly physical force training class if he clears me to return to work, he said no way!! not for at least 4 to 6 months of healing first to which I informed I was resigning as of the 1st of June which he was fine with.(which I am fine with also!!! 31 years is enough at age 62 - TIME TO GO CAMPING!!!

Hi Everybody! Rob and Robin here, just confirming that we will be in Union Gap for the gathering this weekend.. Excited and looking forward to it! We were wondering if a dog is a no no. Not a problem, just curious. We will be bringing two "still to be finished teardrops" and our 11 yo son! Looks like the night time temps will be in the upper 30's to lower 40's. Just about packed up and ready to go...........

There will be other dogs there.
The Full Moon and the Butt Hut will more than make up for cool nights.

Bought propane, loaded the car, all that is left are my clothes, and some other essentials. I am excited. Whoever is there last buys the Tamales!

Well, our schedule is falling apart at this end.
We may be lucky to get on the road by Saturday....
Just came in for supper, Sandi was cutting grass for 3 hours after work.
My list looks more like a book.
Work in the shop has distracted me this past week...and there is still two days of work to be completed before I can leave?? :NC
Guess all of the good spots will be filled before we roll in.
Other bad news is we lost one couple today, do to work related needs........but on the Good News side we gained another couple (planning to bring 2 trailers)
Guess we will se what happens????

You mean I'm going to get there before YOU? Now there's a first! You're the one who is telling ME about life as a retiree and harassing me for having to work insane hours!

Wait, who's going to help me back up if needed?! Pinecone is hitched and ready to go. I should arrive around 6:00 today, assuming all goes smoothly.

Drive safe and see you soon. Hope that your task list goes faster than expected!
